12v 400w 1.2Kwh Victron Multiplus Power Backup Bundle

A complete set of equipment required for a fully functional power backup system. The primary components in this kit is from Victron Energy as we believe there is no compensation when it comes to Brand Identity, Warranty, Lifespan and reliability.

This kit will provide the following :

• Max 400w of power during power outages.
• 16 amps AC (230V) pass through rate when the grid is live. This equals to 3.68Kw
• 2.5 Hours of power backup from a 12.8V 100ah LifePO4 battery. (Calculated based on 80% DOD {depth of discharge} and a continious power draw of 400w. Should your average power usage be 200w the duration of backup power will be equal to 5 hours.
• A built in charger inside the inverter to bring the battery back to 14.4 V or 100% SOC {state of charge} when the grid is live again. The built in charger is rated at a maximum charge current of 20 amps and can be configured to a lower charging current should it be necessary to do so. The inverter will have to be configured to charge LifePo4 and this can be done by using the provided MK-3 to USB and RJ 45 cable. Install the Victron Connect desktop app (does not support ios/mac) and plug it into the Ve. Bus port on the inverter to do the configuration.
• A Victron Smart Shunt is supplied with the Kit for easy monitoring via the Victron Connect mobile app of your time remaining etc. (Note that the battery will have to be fully charged and then the shunt should be calibrated through the built in app configuration to 100% SOC in order to get an accurate reading of time remaining on your current power consumption.
• Automatic changeover to battery power in the event of a power failure.
• Automatic changeover back to charger when the grid is live.

What is included in the kit and what does it do?

*Note: These items are included if the bundle is purchased as standard. We have pre-configured the quantities of items that are required for a fully functional backup system and considering that you have none of them and need all of them. You can configure the quantities required and also remove items from the bundle if you feel you do not need them. Victron MultiPlus 12/500/20-16 230V Sine Wave Inverter Charger VE.Bus

• a Victron Energy 400w Inverter with a built in 16 amp charger compatible with Lithium and other batteries. This inverter also has a built in automatic changeover switch from battery power to grid an vice versa. The switchover is quick enough that internet and lights all stay on uninterrupted.

Lee 100Ah LifePo4 12.8V Lithium Battery, Bluetooth

• a 12.8v LifePo4 Battery that provides 1.28Kwh of energy during power outages. The battery has a design life cycle of 3000 cycles at 80% DOD {depth of discharge) based on an ambient temperature of 25 degrees C.

Victron Battery Switch ON/OFF 275A

• The Battery Switch can be used to isolate a battery from DC loads and/or DC charge
  sources. It is used to preserve battery charge in case a system is unattended, for
  system maintenance or in an emergency.
  It can also be used to parallel connect the house battery to the starter battery to
  supplement a flat starter battery or a flat house battery in case of an emergency

Victron Smart Shunt 500A/50mV

• The SmartShunt is an all in one battery monitor, only without a display. Your phone acts as the display. The SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect App on your phone (or tablet) and you can conveniently read out all monitored battery parameters, like a state of charge, time to go, historical information, and much more.Alternatively, the SmartShunt can be connected and be read by a GX device. Connection to the SmartShunt is made via a VE. Direct cable.The SmartShunt is a good alternative for a BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is needed but less wiring and clutter is wanted.
  The SmartShunt is equipped with Bluetooth, a VE. Direct port and a connection that can be used for: monitoring a second battery, midpoint monitoring, or a temperature sensor.

The MK3-USB allows the following products to connect to a computer for configuration and firmware updates:
